All Sunday Activities at Trinity are Cancelled

As heavy snow will be falling across Berks County during the entirety of our planned Sunday morning activities, we are not able to guarantee the safety and security of our congregation. For that reason, all Sunday activities are cancelled.

In lieu of in-person services, join Trinity's staff and congregation on YouTube and Facebook at 10:00 AM as we worship across space and time using the first recorded service from Trinity from January 11th, 1976. We have been waiting for the right opportunity to share this service with the congregation, and this seems like a God-given opportunity.

In this service, we'll hear the gospel for the Baptism of Our Lord powerfully preached by Pr. Elton Richards and Trinity's famed music under the direction of Donald Hinkle. Although the quality of the video is not the 4K clarity that we have come to expect in 2026, the audio is crisp and clear.

As you worship, feel free to ponder the following questions. Please use the chat and comment functions to share your responses as well as to participate in the liturgy.

  • What has changed in 50 years?

  • What has remained the same?

  • How does this worship experience make you feel connected to the Communion of Saints?

  • How do you see Trinity lifting hearts and hands and voices in this service?

Trinity’s Staff to Work Remotely on Monday

In addition, Trinity's non-property staff will work remotely on Monday so that our parking lot and other spaces can be properly cleared for the resumption of normal work on Tuesday morning. All our staff can be contacted by email and will be able to access their work voicemail remotely.

Pr. Hans to preach on The Beatitudes on Sunday, February 1

In an age of "might makes right", come to hear Pr. Hans' interpretation of Jesus' most important sermon as it is recorded in Matthew 5:1-12. It will be especially wonderful to be together as a congregation after two weeks of weather-impacted worship, and we hope you can make a special effort to be with us.

Are You Looking to Serve?

Whether you’re a longtime volunteer or just curious about getting involved, we’d love to see you! Join us Saturday, January 24, from 9:00–11:00 AM for our Worship Volunteer Training. Let’s grow together as we prepare for a new year of ministry.

We'll be training acolytes, ushers, lectors, assisting ministers, media volunteers, and communion assistants for around 20 minutes each.

During the downtime, we'll have refreshments and pastries in the Hintz Room, along with a few fun activities. Once the training for your area(s) is complete, you may leave!

We'll begin with a prayer and orientation at 9 AM in the Hintz Room. See you there!

Our Media Director is feeling under the weather and will not be training media volunteers this Saturday.

Praying with our Whole Selves

Join Pastor Hans for a detailed walk through the Lord’s Prayer. He has designed this teaching module to be accessible and engaging for all ages, while still getting into his characteristic depth. Come with your family to learn more about our faith’s most important prayer.

February 1 – Our Father in Heaven

This winter we begin a five-week intergenerational series on the Lord’s Prayer: “Praying with Our Whole Selves.” In our first session, we’ll explore what it means to call God “Our Father” and to pray as part of a worldwide family of faith. Through a short teaching, table conversation, and a simple craft, we’ll reflecton the people who first taught us to pray and how God gathers us into one family at Trinity. All ages are welcome—no experience needed!

Thank You for Supporting Our Worship

Each of the two sponsors will have the ability to take home ONE bouquet or designate that it be donated. The altar guild will then determine the best recipient with staff, lay visitors, and the congregational care team.

Worship sponsors and the dedication will continue to be listed in the bulletin and on the broadcast.

New sponsor sheets for February will be added soon. There is also an opportunity to sponsor on the 25th.
