Adult Forum is an opportunity to gather for learning and discussion on a variety of topics: bible studies, current events, presentations from community organizations, theology, history, and Christian practice. Pastor Hans is the principal teacher, but other organizations, special guests, and congregation members present from time to time.
Adult Forum is held weekly in the All Saints Room at the same time as Trinity’s other Christian Education, 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM.
Join Pastor Hans for a consideration of some of the most charming and traditional ways that the first Europeans in Berks County celebrated Jesus’ resurrection and the coming of Spring.
After a lengthy process of listening, the Vestry is ready to present its articulation of Trinity’s identity. Come to provide feedback on the new statement, which will be presented for a congregational vote at the annual meeting in June.
Join Dcs. Deborah and the youth for an intergenerational event exploring the concept of “faith” from many perspectives. How do you describe your faith? What activities enrich it?
In addition to the Identity statement, Trinity’s leaders have also articulated a Mission and Vision statement. The Mission is what we do, and the Vision is what would happen if we perfectly fulfilled our Mission.
Come to provide feedback on the new statements, which will be up for a vote at the annual meeting in June.
Pastor Tim Brown, director of Congregational Stewardship for the ELCA, will be visiting Trinity to preach and teach as we observe Ascension Day. Join him in Forum to hear how we can better follow God by stewarding our life and all that it contains.
Our confirmands (Jacinda Motley, William Norton-Ritz, Avery Mazur, Abbie Smith, and Declan Rosenbaum) will share their faith statements during Forum before they are confirmed during worship on Pentecost.
On Trinity Sunday, join Pr. Hans to learn more about the Council of Nicea, which turns 1,700 years old this year. The creed that this council produced in 325, known as the Nicene Creed, unifies Christians across vast denominational chasms and gives us a shared belief in the Holy Trinity.
After June 15th, Sunday Forum will be on summer break.
