Community Event Provides Support
for Families Impacted by Fire
Tuesday evening, a collaborative community event brought together local organizations and families affected by recent fires to offer support and resources. The event was a success, with nine of the 15 impacted families in attendance, along with an additional family whose home was destroyed by fire on Monday on Chestnut Street.
Attendees had the opportunity to connect directly with representatives from several key community partners, fostering meaningful interactions and providing essential aid.
The event served as a vital platform for families to receive coordinated assistance and for community organizations to strengthen their collaborative efforts. We are grateful to everyone who helped with the event and to Brooke Rosenbaum who volunteered to serve as Trinity’s contact with the Red Cross.

Music From Trinity Returns
Music From Trinity returns this Fall with our first in-person Noonday recital on Wednesday, September 24 at 12:05 pm. The program, Sorrow and Joy, will take you on a journey through a powerful musical tradition with a concert of Ukrainian art songs. These aren't just beautiful melodies; they are a profound expression of Ukrainian identity and national pride.
Our next Wolfe Concert is a collaboration with Fall Festival of the Arts and will feature acclaimed concert organist Gail Archer on Friday, October 3rd at 7:00 pm.
Details for both of these programs can be found on the Music From Trinity page on our website.
Reading-Berks CROP Hunger Walk
Sunday, October 12 at Gring’s Mill. 1:00 pm
Some give by walking. Others walk by giving. You are invited to join the
Youth and Families of Trinity as we walk to fight hunger locally and globally.
As programs and support systems are being drastically cut, our participation
is even more important. 25% of donations will be given to Helping Harvest
and the remainder distributed through the work of Church World Service, a
partner of ELCA World Hunger. Our 2025 goal is $751.00.
WE CAN DO IT!
Register to walk to here!
