Trinity Tidings | July 3rd Edition
Sunday Worship
Last Sunday. . .
Deaconess Deborah opened with the Blues Brothers' famous line — "We're on a mission from God" — and asked what it really means for Trinity to live that out. Drawing from Matthew 10, she reminded us that Jesus sends us into the world not just to be kind, but to actually represent him, to be his hands and face to those around us.
This Sunday. . .
Our guest musician this Sunday will be Danielle Smith. She will join her aunt, Sandi Sittler, in a duet during the offertory. A rising senior, Danielle is active in the musical life of Trinity, and participates in her school orchestra and concert band.
2026 Berks Pride Fest
Sunday, July 19 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Trinity and Common Ground Recover Community will be sharing a table at the 20th Annual Berks Pride Fest being held at Jim Dietrich Park.
You are invited to volunteer for an hour or two and sit at our table. In the shade. Under a tent/canopy. It’s easy. All you need to do is: Welcome people. Tell them about our ministries. Smile.
This year we plan to try something new. We want to host Story Time for all God’s Children either on the hour or half hour. When you signup to help, please indicate in the comments if you would like to read a children’s book. Deaconess Deborah will contact you with more information.
Bring a water bottle (it can be brutally hot!) *Each person will need a ticket to enter the festival. 2026 Berks Pride Fest Tickets ($4.00 plus processing fee. 12 and under are free.)
Parking Lot Update
Out of an abundance of caution, we have closed the southeastern corner of our parking lot (12 spaces) after a recent engineering assessment indicated some structural vulnerabilities in the burnt-out building to our lot’s south.
We have obtained additional parking behind the Berks Trust Building for Sunday morning, thanks to member Lawrence Fredricks! That lot is at the corner of Reed and Washington Streets. Additionally, we continue to have access to the parking lots of the M&T Bank Building and Mogel, Speidel, Bobb and Kershner.
If you are of above-average mobility, please try to park in one of these additional lots first. There are also many street parking spots available most Sundays. All our parking options are shown in yellow on the above map!
