Trinity Tidings | April 17th Edition
Sunday Worship
Last Sunday. . .
Dcs Deborah helped us wonder about faith along with (Doubting) Thomas.
This Sunday. . .
Pastor Hans returns to our pulpit. Our gospel reading begins with two disciples walking to Emmaus, overcome with sadness, loss, and disappointment. They had hoped Jesus, who was crucified, would be the one to redeem Israel! Yet the risen Christ walks with them and then opens their eyes in the breaking of the bread.

Journey to Guatemala
Deaconess Deborah will continue to share about her journey and invite us to explore our values. Experiences include: Lenten processions around Antigua, miniscule bees making honey by Lake Atitlan, and learning about the process of making coffee at Chica Bean, a woman’s co-op.

Christ Church's 200th Anniversary
Saturday, May 9th from 2-5 PM
Our Covenant Partner is celebrating their 200th Anniversary of Christ Church’s consecration. Dignitaries from around Berks County are due to attend, with brief remarks expected from Mayor Eddie Moran and the Rt. Rev Gutiérrez, Bishop of Pennsylvania.
They will also remove a time capsule placed in 1863, that was interred when the tower and spire, designed by famed architect Edward T. Potter, were erected.
Following the ceremony, the Berks Youth Chorus will welcome guests into the church for a reception with music by Dave Cullen and desserts provided by Sweet Street. Historical displays and building tours will be available during this time.
