Music from Trinity’s Wolfe Series will again present The Let’s

Dance Big Band, led by our own Charlie Randazzo, with a

concert celebrating Mardi Gras on Tuesday, February 17th.

Last year’s concert was a great success musically as well as

financially for our partner organization REFRESH BERKS.

We hope to recreate that success by partnering with REFRESH BERKS in order to continue the growth of this wonderful new organization.

REFRESH BERKS spent the fall months giving showers at two locations: Exeter Public Library and right here at Trinity. We gave showers, clothing and toiletries to all guests of our shower trailer. We closed, winterized and covered our truck and trailer for the cold months and will reopen in the Spring.

On September 20th, at the West Reading Fall Fest, we were honored to be Reading City Church’s charity chosen to receive all donations from their wonderful raffle baskets that day.

On November 22nd, we decorated our truck and trailer and participated in the Reading Holiday parade. What did we give out along the parade route? Rubber duckies, of course!

Both these events were wonderful but our mission and our focus continues to be to serve the housing insecure of Berks. We want to let them know we see them and providing showers is a simple way to do that.

What’s next? We plan to have a fundraiser in April with a specific goal of building a garage to house our truck and trailer. With a garage, we would not need to cover and winterize our equipmentwhich would extend our showering season.

Trinity continues to actively support REFRESH BERKS! The upcoming Mardi Gras concert is a wonderful way to bring awareness to our mission and support your neighbors right here in Berks County with showers and a fresh start!
